what happens during this session?

If you do not appear you will go to jail

First see a lawyer
Especially if you recieved a target letter

Second answer questions truthfully - but do not volunteer information or ramble on with your answers
Short and to the point
Yes or no if possible

Follow the Lawyers advice

Best wishes

They just ask you questions about whatever is was you witnessed. Remember to tell the TRUTH as you can be prosecuted for perjury if you lie.

"Where they exist, grand juries are part of the system of checks and balances, preventing a case from going to trial on a prosecutor's bare word: an impartial panel of ordinary citizens must first decide whether there exists reasonable cause or probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed. To this end, witnesses can be compelled to testify before them. Unlike the trial itself, the grand jury's proceedings are secret; the defendant and his or her counsel are generally not present for other witnesses' testimony. The grand jury's decision is either "true bill" (i.e. there is a case to answer) or "no true bill." In general, jurors are drawn from the same pool of citizens as a petit jury, and participate for a specific time period."

so just go and have fun. not.

Lawyers will ask you what you saw or what you know.
This will also give the defendants friends and family an opportunity to find out who you are.

I believe you will just simply tell your story to the grand jury, which are people who decide if the person in question should go to trial or not. Oh, and you have to go.

basically you are called into a private room. a few people up to about six people ask you questions about the event that took place. they give you a chance to speak freely and tell any other information you want to include. then you get to go home. if you do not go they will issue a warrant for your arrest. because you are being summoned to go you have to go. good luck, don't be nervous nobody knows who the witness is. and it is quick easy and painless.

irishflynn68
You will be sworn in and be cross examined by the defense and the prosecution. Answer the questions to the best of your ability. And not going is an offense. And dont make smart *** remarks or you will be held in contempt of court, and thrown in jail.

Go definitely go - just tell them you are in now way racist except for , and then list off a couple of derogatory terms ..........then tell them the voices in your head wanted you to know that.

You'l be home watching tv in no time -

u You must go first and foremost. You will be informed once you are there by the prosecution/defense. Obviously you have information needed in the case or you would not have been called. Just be honest, and everything will be okay. Kelly

from my knowledge this id just the tip of the iceberg. I believe grand jurys decide wether or not a case has enough evidence and merit to go to a jury trial. So you will be called in to testify as to your knowledge of the case. Then you'll be dismissed. And if the case does go to trial, you may be called again as a witness at that. Chances are if it goes to trial though that you will get some one on one with the attorney that is seeking you as a witness. So it will get clearer as it goes. Hope it goes well for you.
