Pro-choice.
Edited to add - abortion should remain an option, however it should not be the FIRST option. Contraception should be used, but abortion should remain available because contraception is not infallible. |

Fifty percent of all pregnancies end in spontaneous abortion, commonly called "miscarriage". Fifty percent, half, of all those babies can be saved for sure with proper prenatal care. That's a LOT of babies. But, the VERY same groups that call themselves "Pro- Life" are the VERY same groups that wage huge battles to slash all the funding for public prenatal care in the U.S. I am a nurse. Been there. Saw THAT Christian indecency quite clearly. The so-called Pro-Life groups are NOT pro-life. They have other agendas. |

I could never look my daughter in the eye and tell her she should have to carry a child to term if it were the result of a rape or if chances were that she would not survive the delivery. Since I can't do that, and it is impossible to enforce a law some of the time - I guess that means I have to be pro-choice.
In a related question, how many of the pro-lifers are for the death penalty? If they are, then it is not a question of if but when. |

pro choice, since I am a stranger and know nothing of her personal situation, I cannot tell the young lady to have a child that maybe she cannot support emotionally or monetarily esp since I do not intend to help her and support her either way or raise the child.. if the kid is white yeah it gets adopted so great but how many NON white kids or disabled kids are people lining up for at the adoption centers ? only the woman knows the situation and should be allowed to make her OWN decision |

Pro choice. But I also don't think abortion should be used as a form of retro-active birth control.
My mother was 17 and unmarried when I was born......personally I'm glad she made the choice she did. |

Pro-choice because the only choice is to be pro-life! How could anyone decide the life of another? How could any law or government legalize killing? What right does anyone have to end the life of another under the guise of "humanitarian consideration"? |

I am both. I want abortion to become even more rare than it is now. If I ran the world, there would never be an abortion, and I personally could never have one. So I think we need to make birth control information and methods very easy to obtain and educate everyone on how to use them so that unwanted pregnancies become a thing of the past.
Having said that, if a woman got raped or was a victim of incest, I would still want her to have the legal choice to abort the baby. |

I'm a native american (Miwok) from a broken home. My father is still in jail and I was taken away from my mom when I was 4 and placed in the custody of my uncle Joe and aunt Elaine (may God bless them forever.)
I am (or was) the perfect candidate for an abortion, yet for some reason, even my screwed up mom knew it was wrong. If it had not been for someone out there convincing her of this...I wouldn't be here.
I will always be pro-life. |

God gave us a brain to make our OWN decisions. If HE believes we can make our own choices, why can't everybody else? |

Pro-choice. If prolifers truly cared about life as much, they would worry equally as much (and spend as many resources) about children and babies starving all over the world, creating world peace, cleaning up life stealing pollution, ending the situations which lead to abortions, curing cancer and AIDS...etc.
Personally, I would never have an abortion, but don't force your religious morals and ideas of when life begins on me. |

I suppose I am more pro-choice, but I think abortions are wrong, nonetheless. I think in this day and age, when pregnancy is totally preventable, that anyone would conceive an unwanted child is deplorable. I do realize, however, that a young woman's future can be ruined by having to carry a pregnancy to term when she is unequipped to do so. I also think that the issue should be left for women NOT MEN to decide. Men preach against it, but they don't have to be pregnant, and they don't have to support these babies after they are born. Until the pro-lifers are able to say to these pregnant women, "Have your baby, and we will see that it's taken care of for the rest of it's life" they really shouldn't have a say in the outcome of someone else's pregnancy. It should be ultimately up to the woman carrying the child, and if she can live with having an abortion, let her. |

Pro Chioce is not really 100% Pro Choice. Since, the biological father has no choice in it. Even though he should also have a 50% of the vote.Since, the father contributes 50% of the genetic material to his biological offspring. |

Pro-choice, as far as politically speaking. If I were in the situation (and female on top of that), I, personally, would not be able to go through with the procedure/pill. I wouldn't limit the choices of other people to do that to their own body. |

Pro-choice, because what you plan to do with your body is your business. Plus, having the ability to choose allows you to make better decisions, as opposed to getting stuck without a way out. |
