Punch bag machines in night clubs?

last week i was asked for id upon entering a night club,the bouncer knowing i had a bit to drink asked how much i had to drink previously.i lied telling him i only had four pints when it was double that.he then reluctantly let me in.i then with some mates started playing on the punch bag machine,before i could finish my first drink in the place.i punched the bag and my hand after hitting the ball smashed in to a wooden railing causing me to fracture my finger and break carpi cal bones.Can or do i have any right to make a claim???also people are violent enough on drink do you agree that these punching machines should be taken out of pubs &clubs as they are a promotion for violence

SInce there is an implied consent here (you chose to use the machine) I would think that you can't hold the Pub liable for any injuries.

So you were the one who were drunk, you chose to play on the punch bag machine, and you hurt yourself because you lied to the bouncer and told him that you had consumed less alcohol than you actually did and you want to make a claim on the club for letting you in. You probably stand no chance and it would be ethically very wrong for you to do that.

Hell yeah you do. You can sue the manufacturer of the punching thing for not making it safe for drunk people. Then you can sue the bar for hiring the bouncer who let you in. You can certainly sue the bouncer for letting you in even though you were intoxicated (it's irrelevant that you lied to him to gain entry). But you can also sue your parents too. This is the big one. You can sue mom and dad for making you an entitled little brat.

Alas, gone are the days of personal responsibility. Crack heads on a killing spree no longer say, "yeah I did it." Now they say "it's societies fault" or "mom and dad didn't love me enough."

I think what your gonna need to do is stand up, be a man and take responsibility for your actions. You need to stop being so entitled and stop thinking you deserve things. You only deserve what you earn. Make your life something significant, don't make your life about getting free money for your bad choices.

As far as removing the machines because they promote violence, should cars be removed because auto accidents are violent? It's all about the operator of the machine not the machine.
