I recieved a minor in posession by consumption about a month ago. I was riding in the backseat of my own car with a sober driver and a sober front seat person. We got pulled over for a rolling stop and the officer made the driver and passenger blow. They blew 0's. She then pulled me out of the backseat and told me I had to blow. I obviously blew something and got an MIP. This is all over with now since I went to court and everything but I was wondering did I even have to blow or could I have refused it? I live in Michigan btw.

You could have refused it. They would have taken you to jail and worked on getting a warrant for a blood test. By this time you may have been clean.
But you'd have spent some time in jail, which is probably more punishment than you'll receive for MIP. |
