Is this a criminal case or a civil case? Victim of what?
It's probably an attorney. If it's a child victim that you're talking about in a civil case and the attorney doesn't work for either parent, then it's an ad litem. If it's some kind of victim representative in a criminal case, it's probably an ad litem. If it's the guy who brought the charges against the defendant in a criminal case, it's the prosecutor. |

You mean the prosecutor, I believe.
They work for the district attorney and are sometimes called as such as well (i.e. Assistant District Attorney). |
