My ex wife makes $17 an hour and collects child support from another individual and is remarried. I make $10.20 and hour and by the time my taxes and child support are taken out of my check I bring home $800 a month. How am I expected to live off of this kind of income, basically is there anything I can do about this.

Nothing you can do. Child Support orders and what an ex spouse earns are different things. If it was alimony, you could ask for a lowering of your payments. Child Support is exactly that, support for your child. |

In Texas, HER income has nothing to do with how much you pay in child support, it is based on your income. If you feel you are paying too much, then hire an attorney, or do it on your own, and go back to court to ask for a modification of the support order and have it lowered. |
