Quick qustion um if you were raped in Hawaii and you told someone would it be legal if they told them not to tell their parents

State laws vary and i answer this without looking at Hawaii.
It depends on how old you are, as well as the state laws.
Some states require that all cases of rape be reported to law enforcement, and they are well within their rights (again it varies from state to state) to inform your parents, and to some degree, they are REQUIRED to inform you parents.
If you are not a minor, then you have every right to request that your parents NOT be told. |

yes, if someone rapes you, it is illegal.
But it isnt illegal to not tell anyone.
You should tell someone if you are raped though, but you will not get on trouble if you don't. |

it is not illegal to tell your parents, it is illegal to rape someone. that is why the rapist said not to tell, because what he did was very wrong and illegal. he deserves punishment so that no one else has to be hurt by him. please tell your parents. |
