There really isn't any. It's a mood altering, mind numbing drug. While there really aren't any solid reasons is illegal, there are no valid reasons to legalize it. We already have legal ways to get messed up, and don't need more.
I've heard the argument that it eases pain in certain diseases. Yeah, good for it. There are legal ways to do that, and if you want to argue that it's good for pain, so is heroine.
I would think it great if they legalized it, taxed it through the roof, allowing me to keep more of my paycheck, but I'm sure if it ever happened, our filthy leaders would just do the first part, and never really get around to the second part. |
