he has hired a private investigator to follow me around and find out if im living with his ex and has made several backround checks on me. about a month ago he called my phone and threatened my life by saying he has people that could take me out... he makes over a half mil a year so i didnt really take it as an empty threat. i have proof that the night after he called he obtained a firearm from his brother, and that he has been having me followed but thats it

well either move or tell every one and let him know that you are telling every one that he has treating you. if he goes to church then call his pastor to talk to him call his parents and friends and tell them what he said and let them know that you told a lot of people so they know who to go to if any thing happens,and for a restraint order i think it is free and you should just call the state prosecutor and he will meet with you in his office i don't think you have to go to court. he will have you sign then he will take it to a judge and then they will send a cop out to the ex husbands house and give it to him,,maybe he thinks he can still have a chance with his ex,maybe she should lie and say she is having your baby then maybe he will see he has no chance then.....or both say you got hepatitis c then maybe he will go away and laugh,,,,,,don't know just trying to help...if i found out my ex had hepatitis c i would stay away..... |

It is extremely hard to receive a restraining order...put it this way my ex bf put me in the hospital after trying to kill me and it was hard for me to get a restraining order...but what you should do is call the police anytime he contacts you and threatens because if they have enough evidence they can charge him but it also will give you more proof for when you try to get a restraining order. |

No you don't. You need proof of everything, phone records, the private investigators (how you know of that), nothing can be hear say. Judges don't like hear say. |
