ok, i was wondering if i could get a restraining order on my neighbor so that if anyone from my house is outside he cant come out and harass any of us or come within like so many feet from our house if we are outside?

he has harassed us and tried to kill our dogs on manny occasions, and its either that or i knock his a** out next time he tries wich i really dont want to do

well time before last when we called the cops on him he told his dogs to attack the police officer when he was comming around the corner to talk to him and the officers didnt do anything

Document what your neighbor has done which you feel is threatening or harassing and if unlawful violations exist, file a report. When you contact your local police they will inform you whether it meets the prerequisites for a restraining order. They may even have an informal chat with your neighbor about his "conduct".

Depending on which state you live, you probably could get a restraining order. Like in New York State, I think you could get one in criminal court. I would document everything before i present to judge.

Also it might be hard having one and from what you say he may not obey it but you could give it a try. Also it may be a good idea to talk to lawyer to see what you could do so you do not take wrong steps.

that would be hard to live next to someone with a restraining order but i love animals so if he tries to kill your dogs you kick his *** and say he was tresspassing and get a restraining order i would check on the internet i'm not so sure about how this stuff works
