She gets expelled for drinking i get expelled for skipping class??

So i go to a really strict private school. you get in trouble for EVERYTHING. teachers notice and report if you arent in class within the first five minutes, we have a uniform and any uniform violations gets you detention.. and a lot of other sh*t. ive been going here for 10 years now and it SUCCCKKKS. anyways. while our school is really huge on the whole "honor code" idea (you can get expelled for cheating, lying, stealing etc) but i think this takes it too far.
last year this one girl got caught drinking during school. when the honor commitee asked her if she was indeed drinking she told them she was, because of this, while she did get expelled, she gets to come back this year. all because she told the truth. i on the other hand, have skipped class 4 or 5 times, and lied about it once, and they are threatening my expulsion. i know i am in the wrong, but how is what i did and what she did equally worth expulsion? do you think my school values honor over (illegal) drinking too much?

The drinking during school is very serious when minors are concerned. Cutting a few classes is typical juvenile behavior and the "Honors Committee" want you to "sweat" a little before they render their verdict. The drinking girl needs some help and a little sympathy. Your behavior and hers are two separate dysfunctions and you shouldn't try to compare them. Trying to figure it out is a waste of your intelligence. If a teacher was caught drinking on school property should they be fired? Ask your parents.

This is not the legal system, it is your school's rules. When I was in a regular public high school I was expelled for skipping. So I know it is possible. I was 16 and it was hard as hell to get into another school. Its not worth it. Just go to class and there shouldn't be a problem.

Apparently they value integrity. You lied about it, she didn't. If you've been going there for ten years and haven't figured that out, maybe you need to transfer to a special ed program.

You said it yourself, they will get you in trouble for EVERYTHING, so why wouldn't you be expelled for skipping class and then lying about it? Follow the rules and you won't have that problem.

yes i do! your school is dumb just like mine was! i got suspended for laughing the place was crazii...i thought i was in juvei! just tell you learned your lesson and it wnt happen again and tell them all you wanna do is graduate....

Wow! This is a tough one. Although I feel for your situation, you knew the rules. As far as the comparison between your infraction and the other girls infraction, I see your point there.

To conclude, I think your disatisfaction is just, and if I were on the "committee" making the decision I would lift your expulstion.

call the local media tv newspaper or something who knows cnn may cover it or something they always have stuff like this on tv

and ive done alot worse in high school then drink on campus seriously

OMG it's not her fault you got into trouble, why don't you get drunk too and loosen up, they're not going to expel you - they get too much money from the Government for every pupil!- don't worry about it. If your classes that you're skipping are too hard etc. see your head of year. Good Luck x
