No Non smokers DO NOT want to breath in your dirty second hand tobacco smoke. You ignorant fool. |

No. Smokers should be banned from the presence of smokers because they are a health danger to others and are not deserving of tolerance. |

The by product of Smoking is smoke.... The by product of beer is piss.... Do you want to leave the bar covered in piss? |

Nope!!! why should non-smokers be expected to breath in smoke and shorten their lives just because the smokers choose to kill themselves!!!! |

I am getting a little tired of carrying my smoking relatives into church, most recently my father this year.
Smoke in your own company, don't force me to. I would rather die of natural causes. |

i don't smoke around other people because its just rude, but i do hate how non smokers act like we're the scum of the earth |

Not all of them no. Bit some of them need lessons in compassion. Particularly when we are all standing outside freezing our arses off and then walk past, chunering on about "well if you just quit you wouldnt have to be cold".
Recently at work they told us they were buying us an out door heater for the winter months and one of my colleagues nearly lost the plot. She was angry that the filthy smokers were being "spoilt" |

All smokers should be given lessons in the HORRIFIC health risks of smoking.
Smokers are a drain on our resources. |

I'm a non (ex) smoker. Why are you assuming that I'm intolerant when it comes to smokers? Tolerance doesn't mean agreement. Just because I think smoking is a stupid thing to do doesn't mean I am intolerant. |

I am a smoker. I don't mind giving in to a ban on smoking in certain areas. I understand that it isn't good for children, some people have adverse affects when around smokers, so I don't mind being considerate of them. However, I think that a total ban except in your home or car & that car cannot have children sitting in it, is going a bit far! I didn't mind not smoking while in the office, I could go outside on my break & during lunch to smoke. However, when they made me stand in the rain & snow, I resented that. Restaurants that had gone to expense to put in seperate rooms with good ventilation systems, still weren't good enough, I resented that. When all bars went smoke free, even when most of their patrons were smokers, I resented that. I don't go to bars, I don't drink but, I still resented that because even though this law was passed the non-smokers didn't go to those bars!
Now my government is trying to put an extra tax on each pack of cigarettes to pay for providing health care for the uninsured, I resent that, immensely. That should be a tax for all people to help pay, not just the smokers in this country! |

I don't know. I am a former smoker, and as a non smoker, I am perfectly tolerant. If the smoke bothers me, I just leave the room, and stay away. The company I was laid off from last June, had separate break rooms..one for smokers and one for non smokers, and the non smokers did not have to go into the smoking break room if the smoke bothered them. *sm* |

I'm tolerant for about 1 minute, then I loose it big time.. |

Tolerance? Why should I be expected to show tolerance to people who breath their crap all over me. If you want to slowly kill yourself fine, just dont do it anywhere near me, I dont want to breath all your polutants. |
|

No. Because the smokers do not ever ask it it is ok to light up in mixed company and inflict the non smoker with their noxious fumes whether they like it or not. |

Not all of them. I personally have no problem with people smoking in bars; I mean, you're drinking poison, so a little second hand is seemingly the least of your worries. Oh, and then there's that whole thing where second hand smoke isn't as bad for you as avid non-smokers claim.
You shouldn't be allowed to smoke in an enclosed space with children present, but I don't see why people take issue with people smoking outside. |

No, but some smokers should be taught a lesson in good manners. I used to smoke and remember the black looks I used to get from the Nons. I know not everyone is tolerant but it might help if smokers tried to consider others when they light up. Such as when someone is eating or if in the company of anyone with a chest complaint or in a non smokers house. (some examples) All I'm saying is its a two way street! |

No. Drug abuse is wrong whether it involves nicotine or crack cocaine. If you want to walk around smelling like an ashtray, that's your business. Don't expect us to mindlessly accept your breath and clothes smelling worse than your bottom. |

Not all non smokers, merely the ones who continue to *****,moan and whine about it.We can't smoke in the pub now.Did that make the non smokers happy? No!They still complain.Does this make me intolerant of non smokers?Hard to tell, but one thing is certain.Since the prohibition of smoking in public places I have noticed one very important fact.A great number of non smokers appear to have very poor personal hygiene! You don't like the smell of smoke,I in turn find the stench coming from some of you quite overpowering.I'll make a deal with you,you can ***** as much as you like about me smoking if the unwashed members of your numbers take a f***ing bath!Don't talk about second hand smoke either. If there was even an ounce of truth to that,by the same logic petrol pump attendents should wear respirators.Benzene=carcinogenic.Join the dots here.Look it up if you have to.Thats my rant over with and boy did it feel good!Smoke 'em if you got 'em. |

lol. I think the first two answers are a prime example of why they should be given lessons in tolerance. Smoking tobacco is a right. Tobacco is actually the foundation of America. If not for the smoking herb our colonies would have failed.
Next time I see a Non-Smoker standing near the smoking area complaining, I'm going to b**ch them out for polluting my space with their ignorance. |

absolutely! I'm tired of smoking outside the airports as if I was a criminal doing something illegal. |

THERE IS NO PROOF THAT 2ND Hand smoke causes cancer, The head of the ALA admitted that he lumped all cancers together for that study just to get the rumor started and the laws passed and said he feels NO SHAME , We had 2 old ladies from a town 40 miles away come to a town hall meeting and had voted down smoking in restaurants in MY town . The restaurant owner tied to fight it because they just spent $1000 to make clean NON smoking sections, Now they have lost 30% of there Biz. This is America ,Right? |
