Should I stay away from this situation with my twin sister & this couple, or should I intervene?

My twin sister met this guy from the military, but neither 1 of them are in it now. Well, the guy & his new girlfriend were living with her, & I guess things turned out bad after awhile because they were cool @ 1st.

They told me that my twin sister talked about me like garbage, & I KNOW they weren't lying because that's the same rumors she's been blabbermouthing about me for years. How do these strangers who I'll never meet know "my" personal business & MY personal life?

My twin sister called me up, telling me stories about them stealing from her, breaking her things, & beating her up & stalking her. They told me a different side of the story, which their side is believable because I know she likes to fight, & she thinks she's tough & hard. She always throws the 1st lick & then when fighting someone, including me, she lies & say we hit 1st. She's been lying on me for as long as we could talk.

When I heard the girl & the guy tell me what my twin sister said about me, I was hurt & shocked because I thought me & my twin sister were on good terms. Come to find out, she talks bad about me, regardless & makes fun of my weight.

By her being my twin, & ONLY because she's my twin, I don't want her to get hurt worse than she already got. She got into a fight with this couple. I feel bad for her, but I don't know whether I should feel bad for her after the horrifying lies she told them about me for no reason at all.

My twin & I are 25. I live in TX, & she lives in GA. That's how badly we can't get along, in general. We never could get along. But I thought we were on good terms.

The couple uploaded videos of her house being filthy & publicized them on YouTube. I don't know whether I should defend my twin sister or ignore the poison.

They put those videos up to show the CPS people that she's filthy, so she won't get her kids back. She VOLUNTARILY gave ALL 3 of her kids away, & now she wants them back. They are in foster care, & she's fighting in court to try to get them back. But the couple said they're going to use the videos to prove her to be negligent & an unfit mother, & she said she's going to sue them for putting the videos up there.

Sounds like your twin is a negative chaotic mess. No one needs this kind of energy in their life. You love her and want to be on good terms with her, but you should love her from afar. If she's treated you poorly all of your lives, what makes you think it will easily or soon change? Sounds like she has major issues in general. Without setting a definite time, I suggest you stay out of it all. Pray for her and her children. If you feel the need to communicate with her, write her a short note. Don't divulge anything about your life. Speaking of your life- live it well! Find what you've always wanted to find and really enjoy yourself. When you feel you can withstand her negativity without feeling hurt, then see her if you want.

I hate to sound cold, but stay as far away as possible. You need to protect yourself from getting wrapped up in your sister's conundrum.

You said you know your sister talks crap about you, then why are you upset? You know what to expect from her. It is OK to feel bad for her, you are just a kind person. I think maybe the kids are better off in foster care for the time being. Most likely she will get them back soon. All she has to do is get things cleaned up. Help her do that if you can. But from today forward don't tell her anything personal and don't expect too much out of her. It sounds like she is jealous of you.

If those video's where put on there without her permission and she owns that house than she can press charges... or so i have heard but just because you are bitter does not mean you cannot help your sis... it seems to me you are stuck in the middle and i am sorry about that but maybe if you make sure she is doing ok... mentally and emotionally.... then maybe you guys can work it out... not sure. maybe she said those things because she was hurt about something... maybe not because of you... but we all say stuff we do not mean when we are hurt and also maybe the tough act is because she is just hurting on the inside, just talk to her and make sure she is doing ok! and as far as the video's tell her she should ask them to delete them and if they don't then tell her to press charges for putting that up without her permission because it is against the law to do that if it involves another person... and it is considered harassment.

The couple knows so much about you because your sister told them all about you.. how else.. I would definitely stay out of this.. she has to get the police or a lawyer involved... if she has problems with these people... if they commit slander or libel against her, she definitely should sue them and get a lawyer.. but at age 25 she should be capable to handle this on her own.. apart from that.. you hear two different sides to the story.. the only people who know the truth is your sister and this couple..so they have to sort it out amongst them...if she is wronged or harrassed by them, she has to involve the law.. you can't help her... and you should stay out of it...xx

wow hun. thats a really tough situation! Im really not sure how to answer but I think that there is probably no one that knows your sister better than you do....and if you feel like she is doing all these bad things then she probably is. I dont think I would tell her about the video because if thats truely the case, she probably shouldnt be putting her kids back in that environment. they have already had to go thru the trauma of being seperated from her once, maybe the way things are is for the best. on the same hand, i wouldnt completely believe everything your sisters roommates were saying either though because THEY are the ones still living with her. I mean if someone was that banana's could YOU live with them...unless you were alittle banana's yourself? lol best of luck boo.

your sister definitely has got some big problems here. and i bet shes probably kinda depressed at her situation...

for me, i think you should have some quiet time with her in private, and talk. try getting her to open up to you but tell her to tell you the whole truth. and probably shell tell you everything and you could help her.

try seeking guidance from elders around you. maybe ask advice from your parents, or a pastor or something like that. but the best thing to you is to pray to God and ask help from Him. pray for your sister that God will help her.

If you have to use the word intervene it means that whatever you're talking about is none of your buisness. Which of course means, no go away and stay there. Now, if someone might die, suuuure put your foot in that door, why not. But if it's not life threatening, just back up and let the people involved do the work.
