Texas succeeding would be groundbreaking. It would maybe tear apart the United States. But could they pull it off? I believe they could because Texas refines 85% of America's oil. Without Texas the U.S. would not function. Also south of Houston is the Johnson Space Center. Aka NASA. Texas also has one of the largest medical centers, some of the best research centers to prevent cancer, tons of computer technology like Texas computer systems. Yes, that means the U.S. will some movies and very nive projectors. Texas also has several military bases. Texas could succeed successfully if the U.S. allowed it. It would be a huge missing link for the United States. But Texas would have to make it's own currency. there would be several complications but it would work. But whether the U.S. would allow it is the deciding factor or else there would be a war that Texas would probably not win. But who knows...... we fought off thousands of Mexicans before against the odds.????????????????? |

It's just a lot of rabel-raising and political theater. The state of Texas relies a lot on the federal government and has no serious intentions of seceding. This is just a way for a Republican governor to say, "Hey look, we're still relevant." |
