I believe you should be allowed to do anything in the privacy of your own home as long as you are not hurting/harming or contributing to the hurt/harm (be it physical or emotional) of someone else in any way. |

Simple: If it doesn't infringe on the rights of another. |

What a person does to the interior of their house is entirely their own business. However, here in UK we have millions of historic houses who's fascia may not be allowed to be changed especially if there's an order banning it. My house was built in 1937. It would be foolish to change it's outward appearance. It simply blends in with all the other detached and semis in my street.
Any alterations to a property [a house] in UK require planning permission from the local authority. I believe the same rule probably applies in USA where the rules are probably even more stringent and where the local authority will send an inspector to check work when it's finished and will actually condemn that work if it is not up to standard. |

Yes they should be able to do what they want. If the government would stay out of peoples affairs with how they correct their kids there wouldn't be all of the killings in schools. In the 70's and 80's there wasnt all of the shootings going on in school. Because parents could pop you a couple time to get you back in line. The government is out of hand on the issue.Kid shoots someone the parents are to blame |

An English man's home is his castle so it has been said, yes i think within reason we should be able to do most things in the privacy of our own home |

Well, abortion is legal, so I guess killing your children and spouse should be too if they are inconvenient. |

Should they be able to cook up meth, sell drugs from INSIDE their home, molest children inside their home, murder people inside their home, etc., etc. etc.
No they shouldn't. |

No, of course the law prevails anywhere, even in your own home |

No one is "right" anywhere if he/she is doing something illegal. We are a nation of laws. If your theory was correct, people could cook meth, molest children, abuse their spouse and other crimes as long as it was done in the privacy of your home. |

I think they should have the right to do anything they want...as long as it does not DISTURB other people in the area! |

YES.
However, as much as you want to do what you want with your body, I want to do what I want with my money, and I DON'T want to use it to support people I don't even know.
So if you vote Libertarian I will too - otherwise if I have to choose between gay marriage and a tax cut, I have to vote for the tax cut, since I'm employed but not gay. |

Absolutely! As long as no one is being hurt, what people do in the privacy of their own homes is their own damned business! |

in my opinion, your home is your sanctuary and you should be free to be yourself as long as you are not causing harm to others in the process. This includes anything that you want to do be it against the law or not. |
