No, the last time that happened it failed miserably.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results. |

No. They tried that before and it was a total failure. (Prohibition) |

Umm, we already tried that once.
At the beginning of Prohibition, there were 500 legal bars in NYC. By the end, there were 20,000 illegal ones.
Been there, done that. |

They already tried that after WWI. Guess what it did? Crime rates skyrocketed, and for a brief moment the nation went mad. So no, it shouldn't be banned. |

Why? Because no one wants to take responsibility for themselves anymore? Because "a few" are unwilling to act responsibly and exercise good judgment when drinking?
If you start "banning" things every time someone abused them, pretty soon no one would have "freedom" of choice. |

no because that would encourage more people to drink it. SO many people already drink it, and if they ban it, a lot of illegal activity might take place. This might undermine the U.S. laws. i think the government tried this before a really long time ago and it encouraged a lot of mafia growth. |

Not as long as they is a need for it. I doubt it. It is a personal choice. |

I'd rather ban some people - my husband would be the first. |

uhhhhh, History has proven that banning alcohol simply doesn't work. With the war on drugs being analogous to the Viet Nam war, banning alcohol again would be frivolous. |

It was banned from January 16, 1920 to December 5, 1933. Prohibition didn't stop people from drinking. It just made it illegal, turning millions of Americans into criminals. |
