Yes. Law enforcement (and pushing for new laws by law enforcement types) is a business aimed at generating funds. That's why you will be fined for minor "offenses" that endanger noboby and nothing rather than a warning.
These days the sheeple have been brainwashed to the extent that most don't know that there is a difference between keeping the peace and using the law as a means of extorting money out of the People. |

Very good idea. What would be even better would be to draft Peace Officers from the general population as a part of universal public service. Career cops, judges and politicians have generated totalitarian governments wherever they have developed. They have done much to undermine liberty in the U.S. |

That would be a great first step towards a free America. Yes. Peace officers who are sworn to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, and who know what that oath means. |

I think so. Some good answers on this one (and one from a cretin).
In order to serve and protect the people we need to get rid of laws aimed at making them prisoners in their own homes completely at the mercy of an oppressive system.
At the least we need term limits for politicians at all levels, including judges and sheriffs. Limited term peace officers. No more law enforcement for the sake of oppressing the population.
Our local jail in Amador County, CA is mainly filled with people who shouldn't be there, and the sheriff's office gets kick-backs from contractors who supply food and other shoddy supplies to the jail at great cost to the taxpayers. The sheriff is part of a local family dynasty that should be in jail themselves. |
