Yes. I have campaigned to free weed.
I don't want to drone on but:
FACT: Alcohol related deaths vs Cannabis related deaths.
How many incidents belonging to each can you think of?
Well that is an obvious answer.
Its should be legal to an extent, such as being over 18, not to be used when driving etc.
Yes, I think amongst drugs and alcohol, its second only to weed. |

Yes. If alcohol is considered fit to be legal I see no reason why pot can't be as well. It is safer than alcohol, both in the sense that you can't overdose and in the sense of how you act while on the drug. Plus, sales proceeds going to legitimate businesses and tax revenues going to the government makes a lot more sense than all of it going to drug dealers. Not to mention, addiction and habituation wise, would you rather have to live with a pothead or an alcoholic? |

yes...better than some & not as good as others but safe and reliable |

Yes wouldn't that be nice and it should be legalized. But the thing of it is that if it were legal then there would no longer be any big profits to be made from selling it. Being legal pot would become more plentiful as well witch would also lower prices. I just don't see it being legalized any time soon. |

Yes, prohibition seeks to make criminal that which is not |

I certainly think it should be legalized and regulated like cigarettes and alcohol. It's a lesser drug compared to the street substances of today, and I personally don't believe in the "Gateway Drug" theory. I think if it were legalized, those who smoke pot would see something recreational that they could use at home - legally - and not have to worry about the drug charges they would get from other drugs. It wouldn't change the Impaired Driving issues (that's going to happen regardless) but it would bring the crime rate down, since the vast majority of drug arrests are for marijuana. |

I don't see why not. If it's controlled somewhat like alcohol is. The only problem though is if they let that drug in then things will probably become more corrupt... |

Yes, cannabis should and will be legal...if not by popular vote... but by the broadcasting of any and all seeds you have to the wind...if it is growing everywhere what choice do the powers that be have but to legalize it... |

Fine by me as long as it is regulated and heavily taxed. |

I think it should but with a age limit set on it, like beer and ciggerette's dose. Like you have to be 21 to smoke it.
I think it less dangerous than alchohol, becuase smoking pot doesnt screw you up like getting drunk does! When you get drunk, people, have died from poisening, got into car accidents, and killed themselves and others, assult people, and the list goes on...but when you smoke pot, what really happens? You get the munchey's, feel relaxed, get in the "mood", sleep, and I don't think this can in any way compare to the side effects of alchohol,(not to mention the addiction to alchohol!) I don't know of anybody body who can say they have an addiction to pot, you dont get side effects from just stopping or have "withdraws". So I say yes, we should legalize it! |

well it depends on how its prepared but i think its one of those drugs that the law won't prevent people from using, it's not a drug that people ever thing not i won't have that incase i get caught |

No. it f*cks you up.
Honestly it does.
I can see a time when you could buy spliffs in packets legally. But it would be a "safe" smoke. |

Legalize NOW!!!!! |

I use to smoke alot of pot until i done a course on addiction studies and found out what effects it has... the effects are not as bad as any of the other class A drug... and to be quiet honest i i think they should legalise it because the stuff you buy on the street today is washed down with all sorts of chemicals and other drugs.... not only that but i am a strong believer that if somebody smokes it wether its legal or not people are still gonna smoke it.. its like tellin your kid not to smoke ciggerets there gonna smoke them anyway.... plus if it was legalised it would slightly reduce the crime rate and put a hefty drop in drug dealers pockets... if they were to legalise it they should sell it as cheap as they can so that drug dealers cant match there price cuz it wouldnt be worth there while selling it due to lack of profit.. so everybody would buy it cheaper and safer from the shop.. and there would be one less murder everyday over money owed for the stuff..... :) |

Definitely should be legal, I've never saw anyone who has had a smoke vomit or fall about the street, or want to go fighting as so many drunks do at the weekend coming out of clubs and bars.
On saying that, what would all those police officers sitting outside clubs and arresting drunks do on a Friday and Saturday night ?
All drugs should be legal to over 21s
EDIT:
What is Billy? |

I thought it was legal already!! |

hell no! dont care how many thumbs down i get for this one! cannabis can destroy peoples lives just as much as the next drug. i agree its socially better than alcohol, as you want to chill rather than fight after a spliff, but a high % carry on to use stronger stuff, and even if they dont, it is proven that it can be a contributary factor in mental illnesses, especially schizophrenia. |

yes it should
would of save me a lot in fines.
been done for it 5 times now.
£1500 in fines.
but i love it sooooooooo much |

if the government legalised drugs they could regulate their production and distribution far better. people are ALWAYS gonna do them might as well be made safe - they could tax the f u c k out of them too.
i use cannabis as a painkiller - better than morphine if you ask me - it's more efficient and doesn't knock me out instantaneously.
but i would never do anything else (even resin) cos you've no idea who made it or where or what they put in it or how strong it it. legalise it - you know exactly what and how much you're taking.
also, to 'askthepizzaguy' marijuana is NOT addictive, fool. and the whole one joint is worse than five cigarettes - only if you smoke it all to yourself (and that's just greedy). it's just scare tactics |

No as it is proven to cause schizophrenia, no it isn't, yes it is, is it?, yes, oh! |

Cannabis can really do your head in, should that be legal? |

No. It smells terrible. And the main problem is that companies won't hire you if you smoke it. The company I work for tests their employees whenever they make an error that costs the company money. A few months ago a guy I worked with got tested and didn't pass. They fired him after 25 years on the job. Another friend of mine was to receive a big promotion...but didn't pass. So go ahead and smoke it if it means that much to you. But alcohol gives you a nice buzz and can't be traced after a day or two. |

Ponder the fact that a responsible UK newspaper "The Independent" was strongly in favour of legalising cannabis too.
But more recently that newspaper admitted it was wrong and issued AN APOLOGY because the true facts about the harmful affect of smoking cannabis were exposed. |

cannabis isn't good for you unless you have certain physical or mental ailments. even then, alternative medecines can often be subsituted. |
