Should illegal alliens have rights?

AS one other poster said they do have rights, the same rights that the constitution says they have, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness..... but that does not give them license to break the laws of society, for without laws none of the "inalienable" rights are worth much. They should be detained and deported whenever they are identified as illegal aliens.... when they show up for medical care, to get a license, when they are stopped by the police etc....

If you are in this country illegally, and your presence is made know to the authorities for any reason, you should be fined and returned.

They should have the right to be arrested for illegally entering the Country. They should have the Right to a speedy Deportation. And they should have the Right to be barred from future legal entry due to their ignoring our laws. If they are caught illegally in the Country again they should have the Right to serve Jail time for repeated Violations.

Whether or not they complain isn't the issue. Not to sound cliche but, we are a country of laws and if someone is here illegally it should be addressed. There are basic human rights that should be afforded to all people however, those rights don't include permission to pick and choose which laws you'll follow.

A large part of the bill of rights extends to all persons within the United States regardless of legal status. Anyone within the US has the right to Due Process for instance or freedom from unreasonable search and seizure. On the other hand the right to bear arms is not generally accepted as a right illegals have access to because it is tied to citizenship.

So, yes. All persons within the US deserve basic human rights. I do not want to live in a country where people can be harassed, unjustly imprisoned, beaten, tortured, suffer property confiscation etc... simply because someone believes they are not a citizen.

Everybody's entitled to basic human rights, but it's ridiculous that when an illegal alien gets arrested for a crime, applies for a driver's license, or files a lawsuit, the state and local authorities don't even bother reporting them to the feds. There is simply no system of reciprocity between jurisdictions in this matter. Typical of our government, one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing.

Of course they should have rights, because if rights are inalienable they are inalienable for all people, and if you want to choose then you would just be a hypocrite and bigot, so...

Illegal aliens should generally have deportation proceedings begun against them, but this has nothing to do with their rights. Our Bill of Rights acknowledges that People have certain rights, not all of which are enumerated. The Constitution isn't afraid of specifying citizens when it means citizens. It's clear that rights are granted to all people under the reach of our law. Laws don't only apply to the law abiding, but to all of us. Penalties for law breaking, such as illegal immigration, is a different conversation.

The only right they should have is the right to be deported to where ever they belong!!! They are bringing down our education system, neighborhoods, property values, taking jobs, living off of welfare, getting free medical, having 6-10 anchor babies, raising crime, smuggling drugs etc... they should have no rights and should be severely punished!!!

Well to me, it really wouldn't make a difference...everyone in the world are regular people...

But when we go to there country, we're aliens, when they come to our country, they're aliens...

well, i suppprt my family in another country, so i really WISH that they can have rights, but they have to be U.S. citizens first...

EDIT: I just read something new to me. Your ancestors came here legally???? and under what law they took the land from Native Americans, killed many of them and left the rest to be second citizens in their own country???? Did you know that California was once part of Mexico??? And your ancestors, I guess legally too, took it from Mexico. Learn your history first and the people who built your nation, then criticize those that are doing the same your ancestors did. I'm not saying it is right, I'm saying don't be a hypocrite.

Immigrant workers form the backbone of the US economy. They are the ones that are cooking lunches, cleaning, yardwork, etc. They are doing the jobs Americans do not want and they are doing them for the American people. They should be given all the rights of Americans as well.
