Your finger is not a living being....put down the bong dude. Your finger is living, made of tissue, etc...but it is part of you. You cannot make the same argument about a child growing inside a woman...although it is in her body, it is a seperate living thing.
Turn off Cheech and Chong, your blacklight, and your lava lamp, and maybe your finger will stop talking to you. But, by all means, chop it right off.

For me it is not religious nuttery. It is ethical responsibility. Your finger will never be a being living and breathing on its own. The unborn will be unless their lives are terminated. You can use all the ploys you want such as "it's a woman's body"; it is not viable yet; etc. but you will always have staring in your fact the fact that the mother who aborts her fetus has abdicated ethical responsibility. First of all, your finger is a living appendage of your body, not a being. Beings have minds and abilities (at least their supposed to). But of course you should be allowed to cut off your own finger. Your own finger, your own leg or foot or any other appendage for that matter. Hell you ought to be able to kill yourself as far as I'm concerned. I mean your not hurting me and being a libertarian I believe it is not the government's job to tell us what we can and cannot do with our own bodies. Your finger is not a living thing, unless you refer to the cells that make up your finger. It's your body, the government shouldn't regulate it. Suicide isn't illegal either, this is your choice.
