I think it should be like it is over in Canada, for example I think the consequences should be
first offense: a fine from $100-250 with no jail time and it won't appear on your criminal record
second offense: doubling the fine from your first offense with no jail time and it still won't appear on your criminal record
third offense: doubling the fine from your second offense with no jail time and it still won't appear on your criminal record
fourth offense: Punishable up to 60 days in jail and a fine up to $1500 and it would be a misdemeanor in the fourth degree

It should be decriminalized and law enforcement should worry about much grander problems. It really isn’t that bad of a thing I know kids who smoke and are pulled straight A’s. I graduate high school here in a 3 weeks and our valedictorian is the biggest pot head I know. So eh, but don’t legalize it… Not Obama at least, that would be a very dumb thing for him to do and he and his staff know. The first black president couldn’t conservatives would be like, told you so.
And just economically it wouldn’t be a good thing. Maybe consumer spending would be up ( for food) but work productivity would be down lol. Plus some people just couldn’t handle it and would lead them to much worse things like crack. |

No, how is that legalizing or decriminalizing it when you're still for jailing non-violent offenders?
BTW the police aren't interested in people like myself, they want importers, dealers, etc. |

Yes it should so it would prevent the jails from being overcrowded but it would only apply up to 75 grams of marijuana in your posession, you wouldn't want somebody getting a ticket for distributing marijuana, anything above 75 grams should be an arrestable offense |

The real drug problem we have in America is that it is a crime. Look at prohibition. Criminals don't care what age you are. It is easier for a minor to buy heroin than alcohol. Legalize it and get control of it. |
