I dont see why not. people who say no usually have no reason why it should stay illegal. The truth is the money from drug sales does end up in the hands of some bad people why not just tax it. Even with tax it would be cheaper since people could grow their own and create compitition in a marijuana market.

yes but it won't be because the government can't tax it. It should be legal because it is less destructive than alcohol. How many times do you hear about someone getting stoned and killing someone in a car wreck. Never because you get high, you eat a burrito, and you go to sleep. You get drunk and you hit your girlfriend, try and fight your roommate, and then you think (know) you're fine to drive. Alcohol is far more dangerous than marijuana.

Why not? Alcohol, nicotine and caffeine are legal. Not to mention the prescriptions that doctors hand out anymore.

Yes! It is harmless. Not one single person has ever died from marijuana use, EVER! The only reason it is not legal is it would hurt tobacco and alcohol revenues. It is a shame that SO MANY people are naive about marijuana.

I hate to mention the health implications of cannabis because it turns people away from wanting to quit - because they beleive it is a melodramatic opinion rather than fact. However, some 99% of cannabis is smoked with the world's number 1 killer drug: NICOTINE. Nicotine kills 120,000 per year here in the UK alone and smokers of cannabis/marijuana inhale not one drug but two! You need only listen to the coughing and spluttering of young teens to know that cannabis is having an effect on their health.

In my book I concentrate on benefits and pleasure of cannabis and people are often surprised at how little it gives. I do not understand how making marijuana/ cannabis legal will make the world a better place? It may just turn lots of towards drugs.
