Should marijuana be legal or illegal?

i know its bad for you and its a drug. But shouldn't you be able to use it if your facing depression and not going out in public while using it?

Marijuana should absolutely be legal. Is it bad? Perhaps. But what kind of country would this be if we outlawed everything that was bad for you? If you are old enough vote and die for your country, you are certainly old enough to decide how to treat your body. It is completely inconsistent public policy that we ban marijuana, but make cigarettes and alcohol legal.

If you value freedom, then shouldn't that include freedom to make up your mind about how to treat your own body?

Legal. We need to stop filling up our prisons with non violent pot smokers. Pot is not a dangerous drug. It's less harmful than alcohol by far.

Let me preface this by saying that I do not (nor plan on ever) smoking weed.

But I think that it is no more harmful that beer or cigarettes, so why not take advantage and tax the hell out of it? America could use the extra cash right now.

no, marijuana is one of the many drug's destroying lives across this great nation. it should never be aloud to be legal. anyone who uses this drug should be severely punished as is being done now.
