I belive there are worse crimes than murder, such as rape,that is all I can think of at the moment, murder, to me is almost humanitarian work.

I agree with you about the rape thing. I think that is worse, because the person who was raped has to live with it for the rest of their life. a murdered person doesn't, obviously. |

Look what our government has done. They now put children in prision for murder. In some extrem situations, perhaps murders should be imprisioned for life. In a lot of situations, shouldn't the imprisioned be let out if they prove to have shown remorse for their crime. However, those who take advantage of this and act as they are remorseful are set free and kill again. Sad as it is, because of the dishonest individuals in our society, those who can be productive in our society cannot be released because of dishonest individuals. Of course, there are always those in our society who are dishonest and the innocent suffer for their dishonesty.
If we could find a way to truly find those who are rehabilitated, they should be set free. Unfortunately, this seems to be an improbability. |

First of all, there are different type of murderers, first degree murderer, second degree murderer and man slaughter, I think the humanitarian work you were talking about is not murder, it's manslaughter... etc.
First degrees murderer usually planned out their kills very carefully.
Second degree murders are usually people who walk in and see their wives cheating on them and decides to kill.
Manslaughter is when someone kills another person in a fight....
And to answer your question, yes, murderers should either have life sentence or capital punishment |

YOu kill you die...as it shld be. but that crap abuot rape being worse....sorry ladies i can understand where youd be more sensitive and everything...but ur forgetting the people left behind that have to live with it too....i mean ask yourself( and yes its not a reasonable question to ask) but if u had to be raped or let your mom/dad son etc etc be killed which would you take? remember the people left behind suffer great agony when someone is not merely lost to them but TAKEN. |

I beieve in the word of wisdom that an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. Thats what islam also teaches its followers. In Islam, its even said that it is much better to ignore than to take revenge because u donot know if r giving treatement more or less than the culprit really deserves. But if u have the power u must take revenge but should not torture. Being a neutral and broad-minnded person its my opinion. |

It actually depends on who the person murdered. If the person murdered a serial killer, should he be imprisoned for life? It simply depends on who you murder. If you murder a politician then the case is more serious then that of murdering a civilian. |

No, if you kill someone you should be dealt the same punishment which fit the crime. Therefore, death penalty. It would cut down on prison overpopulation and save tax payers millions. |
