I really wish there was. I even saw a commercial on TV advertising gastric bypass surgery. I couldn't believe it - you can't freaking advertise unnecessary surgery on TV!

There is as soon as they state "It will cure". Then the FDA will come down on them. Unless its a pharmaceutical company then its ok. If you look on containers that aren't name brands you will see Dietary Supplement. Without it it cant be sold.

Why should they not be allowed to advertise? Surgery is sometimes a good, if not only option for some. What about ads for those ambulance chasers, miracle this or that for the kitchen, bath, private parts, hair, feet, nails, body, garden, house, eyes, back, bedroom, gym, boat, car, garage, wall, ceiling, heat, cold, fence, grass, get rich, get fit, get trim, get girls, get cars, get houses, get what ever you want?

Seems like you want to stop advertising all together. So long as they are not swindling people. You have those that stretch the truth, and those that make it up. As long as its not out right lies.
