I think third time DUI's should be felonies, not fourth. Second time should be 120 days. First time, leave the same, anyone can make a mistake. I would add that all drivers be made aware that if they kill why driving under the influence, it should be murder. In California, it has to be a second time. |

We can cut down on drunk driving simply by telling all licensed drivers that a DUI conviction will cause their insurance premiums to increase ten-fold and it will be 10 years before they get back to "normal." And that's for minimum coverage.
Whatever fine the court levies is nothing, but insurance premiums will cost tens of thousands of dollars.
If you want to get drunk, do it at home and stay at home. |
