You have GOT to be kidding. Non-smokers will always have something to complain about. |

No matter what happens, the anti-everything idiots will still moan, even if they had a perfect world all for themselves.
If people smoke in the pub or not I didn`t care.
Now, my local has had to sell-up (no punters) because of the anti-everything fecking league. |

No. There should be designated smoking areas inside at least some pubs, at least. |

I agree that there should be a vast majority of bars, clubs that cater for non smokers, after all, it's a big health issue. I think that us smokers should at least be given a few select places that we can visit and enjoy a relaxed evening. If they were clearly marked as "Smoking Venues" the non-smokers would be able to choose whether to visit them or not. I have always thought that our country was meant to be a place where you were free to choose. |

ill tell you something about that non smoking ban since it took place in my area the pubs are dead! a pub i have been entertaining in that was packed for 2 years as now just let me go cause they can no longer afford it, on a friday it used to have over an 100 people now its lucky if it gets 10/20 the poor landlord is having a stress attack as he can no longer afford entertainment and said he will after go back to a jukebox!! this pub as been here for a 100 years and it looks like it could be closing down soon thats the sad fact of not been able to have proper rooms for smokers all the people that used to go in there who are smokers 80% of them stay at home and invite friends around! the real pub industry is dying!and the non smoking is killing the pub entertainment with it ! a sad fact of life |

i dont like smoking bans, i do not smoke and i choose to patronage places that allow smoking, its a personal choice, they say they have the ban because smoking is bad. well if its so bad make it illegal then |

The ban has been brought in to protect those who work in what would be tobacco smoke filled areas bars, night clubs etc. I am an ex-smoker and find the smoke surprisingly offencive. However I am prepared to put up with it but would prefer non smoking areas. As always with "new" laws of this nature certain officials are going over the top. ie a taxi driver alone in his stationery cab being taken to Court |

Yes i think it is a pointless move there should be designated smoking rooms in bars and clubs. Or ban tobacco products all together which they won't do because they would loose a lot of tax. By the way I'm a non smoker |

No, it should not be banned for at least when I go for a pint I can enjoy reasonably fresh air. In the open, smoking is no worse than the polution from vehicle exhausts, especially buses. You could always give the smoking poluters a wide berth, which I am inclined to do. |

Sounds good to me then I wont be standing outside in the cold and rain having a cigarette |

Just as in joing the Eu we will have no choice,I for one am pro choice. If a owner of an establishment decides to make his premises smoker friendly then he/she should be entitled to do so and display a sign to that effect, let the people choose what the people want.Do your selves a favour and look up who owns shares in the medical field supporting anti-smoking products and shuch-it's all about money honey. You have the power of a vote use it accordingly-or stay forever enslaved |

No i dont think they should "scrap" the smoking ban. Infact it doesnt bother me because i dont smoke, but i dont like people smoking in my face. Its very rude. |

I know exactly what you mean, you have to get past huge queues of smokers as quickly as possible to avoid the disgusting smell of it all and its not always that easy in London.
However, Winter soon approaches and i will enjoy watching them all suffer in the cold. |
