No. There is a reason we treat juveniles and adults differently. We expect them to different capacities to make smart decisions for one thing. It makes no sense to say juveniles are different unless they do something we consider VERY heinous.
This is the same reason for not allowing minors to work full time, sign contracts, vote, drive without special rules, marry without special permission, serve on juries, buy cigarettes, etc, etc. |

Because the juvenile system is inadequate to deal with serious offense. Most states only allow juveniles to be sentenced until they turn 21, or some similar age. If someone is 16 and killed 4 people, is five years in prison really an appropriate punishment? For heinous crimes, the adult system is necessary. |
