Tell me about it.. why do people come to the mall and let their kids run around destroying everything and messing everything up... I like kids as long as they are properly supervised by their parents and are well behaved. I think people who let their kids crap their pants, rip products off the shelf, crawl under aisles or try to climb on top, scream, tantrum, cry, make a mess with food all over their hands and faces etc should be asked to leave until they can come back and be able to control their children. When I worked at a store in the mall I seriously started to wish kids werent allowed in the mall, we had people let their kids poop on the floor right in the middle of the mall, and these were 5-6 yr old children that should know better.. it isnt really the kids fault its the parents. But why should everyone else have to suffer because of it??
As for the smoking thing, well I know what you are saying I am a smoker and I think they shouldnt have banned it just made a room where only smokers can go, that nobody else has to enter if they dont want to. lol Maybe they should do that for kids too, just put them all in a friggin room at the mall while their parents shop so we dont have to deal with the bad ones. |

This is my opinion considering that I have 3 children...
I think that if a child is behaving properly and not causing a scene, let them stay.
HOWEVER if children are misbehaving, screaming, running wild, etc their Parents should take them and leave. |

How about just banning ignorant irresponsible parents that allow their kids to act up in public? Sounds like a better idea since kids need to e involved in the society they are living in. They're people too and tey've gotta learn somehow. |

I have long thought that there should be some instances where children are not allowed in certain areas of public, especially those whom cannot behave themselves in a socially acceptable manner.
There are already some restaurants and other such public establisments in larger cities that caution their guests about unruly children. I have witnessed people being asked to leave promptly because they were either unable or unwilling to control their child's behavior.
The recent controversy aboard an AirTran Airways Jet in Miami FL is yet another example of a company taking action against unruly children, and parents unwilling to control them.
I think there is some places (not all) that should have a ban on children under the age of 12. When I am paying upwards of $100.00 to enjoy a fine meal in a good establishment, I expect my money's worth in not just food, but service and a pleasant atmosphere and environment. I do not wish to share my meal nor my time with someone's child because they do not want to eat their green vegetables and choose to throw a fit about it in public. |

PS Interesting how it's deemed a "health issue." Sodomy lows also existed in part for "health resasons," but not the Supreme Court tells us it's a constitutional right. So maybe smoking is too!
