Simple question for those against water-boarding?

What methods do you recommend the CIA and other agencies use in order to interrogate terrorists? If you can't use any of these increased interrogate methods what can you do to break the person and get them to tell you everything they know? I asking a serious question how because I do not see how these people can do this job now.

First of all I was in the military and is is an informed question. Second I did not say you have to torture a person, I said how do you intergoate the person. If person A has infomration you need what do you do to get it. Also, I myself, who has been waterboarded as part of my training in school have been waterboarded and I do not consider it tortue. You are not drowning the person but only scaring the person into thinking they are drowning. You are making the person panic. Torture according to me is cutting off finger, ripping off figernails, shocking a persons balls, ect.

EDIT: A CIA official admitted that waterboarding produces good information which helped prevent a terrorist attack on Los Angeles.

This information tells me that not only is torture illegal and wrong, but it was also useless. Was the 183rd time the charm?

Waterboarding is one method of torture, out of ten that Bush and Cheney dreamed up. This country preaches to the world that torture is illegal. We signed the anti-torture bill with 135 other countries at the Geneva Convention. To answer your question- no torture. Like it or not, Bush and his cronies will be found guilty of war crimes. You want us to stoop down to the level of terrorists? You should be ashamed.

This is used all over the world, we even train our Spec Ops. to learn how to endure this, so in the event they are captured while on a mission. Why we are making such a big deal over it I cant understand.
I'm sure someone would say we should lead my example but wake up the real world outside of blogs and changing diapers is a brutal world.

Seriously, do you really think water-boarding is the last trick we had up our sleeves? I'm sure the CIA has a few more gray area tactics that haven't been through the formal DOJ disapproval process yet...

And Missy, you should do some research, and volunteer to be waterboarded. I'm guessing you'll tell me all the horrible things you've done.

People only start to make things up once they've run out of what they know. Waterboard someone 2 years after you've captured them, less likely to get something useful than 2 hours...

Personally I make them listen to the captain n Tenille, eat pork burgers, must attend and formulate square dances, there is no bible or book reading, lights on all the time and on special occasions they get me to read bankruptcy codes to them in a hawaiian shirt. All kidding aside personally I don't disown water boarding but we have to move on so we will have to be more creative like the Inquisition, another day another interrogation.
