Some help on finding the right lawyer for certain topics?

I would like to ask some questions on permits, non profits, copyrights, trademarks, and so on.
Do I have to go to lawyers who specialize in areas or do I just go to a lawyer and they know it all? If I have to get a specialist what kind would these be and where found?
Also, is there a way that I can get some free info or do you have to pay for advice and council? If so how much generally? And should I just get some cheap lawyer since I am not in court but just need info for running organizations and stuff?
Also can I just get books and study the stuff myself. I mean are there books that are on the law in different topics? Is this a lengthy study? What would they be callled?

Information is the most valued commodity, people either have the intelligence or they dont. If you want to run organizations and stuff, start reading dude. your succes depends on desire....In my opinion a lawyer is hired mouthpiece when you communicate with a court.. He is not your brain, you are your brain. the brain tells the mouth. Alawyer will never be your brain no matter how much you pay them....Your best source of info is going to be your colleages, the people that are already doing, what you're going to. asking someone to share how to do these things will suprise you. |

There are numerous books available out there: "Setting up your own Non-Profit Corporation," "Non-Profits for Dummies", "Trademark it Yourself," "Patent it Yourself," "Intellectual Property: Issues and Explanations",
Read up, figure out what you want to do, then find a business lawyer with an intellectual property practice and have him or her review your strategy and draft the necessary papers. |
