Some people cheated during my midterm? Should I tell on them?

Unfortunately, if the only proof you have is that you saw them cheat it would only be your word against theirs. I would suggest type up a unsigned note and place it in his/her box, and let them know there was some cheating going on; not specifically who, but that there was.

Besides, all the work you did is inevitably for your benefit; they may get a grade, but they cheated them-self out of learning.

Most educational institutions have an honor system, and part of that honor system is to uphold what is right. You have knowledge of their misdeeds, so if you do not tell the administration, you will be guilty of violating that code. It will most likely result in everyone having to retake the exam since it will render the first testing null and void. If you do report them, I would insist that the professor keep your name out of it. It may result in expulsion for the specific students involved, but they aren't worthy of being allowed to remain enrolled.

This issue comes down to being a matter of conscience. How will you feel if you don't report it? It's a very personal decision. I would make it known.

If asked, you don't lie. However, I wouldn't volinteer any information. First, you need proof, or you could be the one in trouble. Second, you don't want to be known as a 'snitch.'

No, you already have your reward, first in the knowledge that you gained by doing it right, and secondly by holding true to your integrity.
Things of this nature have a tendency of working out, for if they cheat at this, they will do so with other things in life and the odds will increasingly weigh against them. Don't bother worrying about it and continue to do right.

Send an anonymous letter to the profressor that explains the situation. That way they can do a proper investigation withouth putting you in them middle of it.

How do you know this? Are you absolutely positive this is true and do you have proof? If you do tell, I would tell annonymously and send the proof that you have.

I wouldnt tell, you could have done the same thing, but telling would be the right thing to do, its not fair for the people who worked really hard

I had a friend that cheated all of the time including one of our accounting classes. We took the CPA together and guess what the big essay question on that test was? (something he never learned) Well, my friend did not pass and had to restudy everything and pay another $1200 to take the test over again.

tell him for sure! if you want to make sure that it is anonymous just ask him and I am sure he wont tell anyone. if you don't tell and they found out you knew you are putting yourself in jeopardy! you could get in trouble too! your teacher will also trust you more if you tell the truth. and you will be building a better learning environment for yourself and the other (non-cheating) students. being a "narc" shouldn't be a factor. if you don't tell you are enabling those students to continue cheating in the future. if they continue cheating they will consistently get better grades than you, which will lower your class rank and average, and destroy any grading curve that could help you! you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by telling the truth!
