Well, thefts such as these are the very reason that most schools prohibit students from bringing such items. However, the school's policy on breaking into another student's locker should still be a punishable offense, so you have that on your side.
Go to the office and report that your locker was broken into and when. |

I dont think theres much you can do if the school doesnt allow ipods. |

Im sorry to tell you this but the truth is that you its your fault for bringing it to school, you could try telling them to search their camera, sadly you could kiss the ipod goodbye the dude who stole it could have it anywhere. However, i wish you all the best and hope you get it...goodluck! |

You should of hid it somewhere really good. Man, I would kill the person who stole an expensive ipod, literally... The school should probably at least look for it. But I don't know, get your parents to talk to the prinicipal or something. |

You could tell the school and ask them to check the cameras or you could buy a new one |

Unfortunately there is a reason why your school had those rules. Remember also, that technically your locker is the school's property.
You broke the school's rules and you need to accept the consequences. The school has all the rights in this case and even if you called the cops, they would defer you back to the school.
Check out the warranty to see if it against theft. Otherwise, let it be a not so great and expensive lesson. |

Regardless of whether it's against the rules to have them or not, the school has to at least help you file a police report. And, they should be able to at least review the video to see if anyone was in your locker. File a report with the police though for sure. |

ask the school for the recording or ask to see the recording..
the school doesnt have to do anything, but if you ask nicely.. they might show you it and deal with the person yourself..
police will make the kid return it, but won't charge him with robbery since you werent supposed to have it in the first place.
come to think of it, double check your handbook.. i dont think it neccessarily says you cant have it at school.. you might have wiggle room if you've never had problems with it in the past and you locked it safely in your private locker |

Ask the principal to review the tapes. If he refuses, tell him you will report the theft to the police. They, in turn, will demand the tapes and will get them under penalty of law. Tell him that before you go to the police. |

So call the police! Make the school go after the culprit. Yeah so you bought an extended warranty but that probably dosent cover theft or losing it. Call the cops dude. Probably somebody who has the combination to the lockers. PUSH IT! |

You just learned an important lesson in life that there are rules that have to be followed for a reason, sorry. |

Have you talked to the Principal at your school? I don't know why they wouldn't want to catch a thief. Regardless of what that thief stole. Talk to your parents and tell them you want to pursue this with the police. |

Well...
1.) You are a dumbass for bringing it to school.
2.) You should've NEVER left it in your locker especially without a lock...sorry, but duh.
3.) You're pretty much SOL.
4.) Then again even though you're not supposed to have it at school, it's still theft. I don't know. They should be able to do something about it...and if they get it then you should make a deal with the principal and say...look if ya find it you can suspend me for being such a dumbass for bringing it to school. I'm very sorry. :)
By the way...the warranty doesn't support theft...just things such as water damage or any kind of accidental damage. It's YOUR fault that you took somewhere it wasn't even supposed to be and it got stolen... |
