The right to discriminate or the right to religious faith ---- gay adoption !!!?

who is right about the issue of gay adoption ? the british government or the Catholic Church.

for people who quoted from the bible , in GENESIS 9:3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you . Just as I gave you the green plants , I now give you everything. After reading this , do you still object to people eating dogs and cats in Korea and China. Sometimes you just cannot pick and choose when it comes to the bible, either you totally accepted it or totally rejected it .

The problem is that the church thinks itâ€™s above the law and above British democracy. I donâ€™t think the Catholic Church should have any involvement in adoptions, they donâ€™t exactly have a very good record when it comes to kids do they.

People are free to have their own views and their own children
(and interpretations of what the bible texts really mean, if anything) - why should they be stopped?

There are alot of children who have been abused that need to be adopted. The issue of adopters being gay does not mean that the child won't go to a good home. As long as the child is being cared for, loved and given stability, then should that not be the main priority? Who is to say that gay couples cannot provide this?

Well, I answered a question yesterday which implied that it would be better for a kid to be adopted by gays than to be aborted, and that in fact it was somehow hypocritical to oppose both abortion and gay adoption:

If that's true, and the welfare of the child is paramount, then wouldn't it be better to allow the Church to place children in SOME homes than to force the church out of the business of placement altogether?

What would be best for the children? Do we force the children to suffer to make a political point?

The church isn't right. Gay people aren't taking away anyone else's faith by adopting children.

People can have their own faith and their own views on gay adoption, but they don't have the right to impose their views on others.

I don't know why people are having a BIG DEAL about Gays and the adoptions. Also i think if people have different believes on the bible and such let them. that's their choice.
Everyone has their own believes on religous wise. it doesn't bother me, as long as they don't go judge me for my believes.

Hi this is my mother Susan, and my other mother Betty, or this my dad Bill and my other dad Bob. Ok truth of it is that many kids don't even have that. So my opinion is, that having two mothers or fathers is better then growing up in an orphanage. Who is right, I am not sure but you know what my opinion is.
