I wouldn't sue her back, but I would drag her back into the restaurant by the hair just for the sheer joy of kicking her tactless *** out onto the street again. |

Legally, I don't know, but I do know that she should not have been changing her baby on a dining table! How disgusting is that! |

people can sue anyone for anything nowadays, she wont win just let it get to court explain what happened and let the judge dismiss it |

She must be disgusting! How could anyone in their right mind change a diaper in a restaurant and on a table, Wow how sick.I would question her sanity if I were you. First of all she came off the street to do this, then she did it where food is eaten and in front of paying eating customers. The point is this, she was not a customer and if she was and you don't have a changing table, then maybe she should have moved on to an establishment that did.
How can she sue you, this is totally ridiculous, if she gets a lawyer than you should also. This was totally wrong, I have children and my wife and I would never dream of doing something so unsanitary, embarrassing and down right ignorant.
Good luck to you! |

If she sues you, I don't think she can get anything. Who the heck changes their baby on a table where people eat? Gross. I think removing her was the right thing to do. |

No, don't sue her back. If she gets so far as to try and file something.. I'd love to let the news media get ahold of that.
Your "payback" would be the laughter about her, clear across town.
YOU are not required to provide a changing table for anyone, including your paying customers. Even further, you have no obligation to provide diaper changing facilities to a person who walks in off the street.
WHAT A JOKE!! She is trying to intimidate you. She'll fall flat on her face. |

This is crazy I dont know of any rights for women that allow changing a baby on a table primarily used for dining on in a restaurant.
I would not worry about this, she cant possibly win can she ? |

If she wasn't a patron, she was a vagrant who was trespassing on your property without your permission. Even if she WAS a paying customer, there are no laws on the book that demand you make accomodations for mothers with infants so they can change them in the bathroom, and if you don't -- it's okay to change them right on the dining room table. The only laws that I'm aware of are ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) -- and this woman isn't covered under them (unless she's brain damaged..) |

That's nasty!!! Have you been contacted by a lawyer? If not you probably won't so don't worry about it. |

I would contact the media. I think she will get laughed at. I am a mother and would NEVER change my baby's bum near where someone was eating their meal out. Soooo unclassy.
I would contact your local health authority as well and get some kind of statement from them as to unsanitary effects of what she did.
You might want to as well send her a letter from your lawyer stating that you are under no obligation whatsoever to have a baby change table, that you have the legal right to remove anyone from your premises, and that washrooms are for patrons only.
She probably doesn't have much money so get her bogged down with paperwork, 'till she caves. |

You should contact your insurance company, and ask them to hire a lawyer to defend you. Lawsuits are expensive to deal with, even if they have no merit. |

i don't think that is a legitimate reason to sue someone. i do think you should have a changing table in the bathrooms, but the lady should be changing her baby on a able. that is gross and i think it was right to kick her out. call your insurance company, and get a lawyer to help you out. |

I sincearly hope you are joking about this?
The state of this bloody country it's an absolute joke, regardless of whether she was a paying customer she should have consulted you, if she was a paying customer I'm sure you would have offered some other facilities, where nobody was going to be eating.
How she doesn't get laughed out of the law firm I don't know. The scary thing is with the way in which this PC country is nowadays she will probably win! |

Take her to Judge Judy--she's awesome! |

It's probably for the throwing part.
You should have probably just escorted her and her baby out.
The courts will, more than likely, not look favorably on you for physically throwing a baby out of a restaurant. |

well if you own it you should have a sighn up that you can refuse service to anyone sense she was only there to change the baby nappy she should have done it in the bath room even if you did not have the changing table and if i say so myself your rude not to have one sense so many Restaurant do have them this days same with the handicap bathrooms .. |
