Trying to understand what can happen when cops lies on the stand?

if two cop take the stand and both cops stories are different what can happen to the cases what option do i have or can do

i have read that around 90% of cops lie. even on the stand. i have had semi friends in the past who were cops and heard stories first hand from them about how they lied to get something to "turn out" the way they or the dept needed it to. it is sad that this is what our country has came to.

It's called PERJURY when someone lies under oath.............that is if it can be proven

The prosecutors nightmare. Rarely happens Officers meet repeatedly with prosecutor before a trial to go over testimony to prevent this scenario from happening. They will review their reports and notes thoroughly. If it did though any defense lawyer worth his salt would hop on that and not let go. that would give reasonable doubt which should give a jury cause to dismiss the case. If the jury still convicted the defense would have ample grounds for appeal. The judge might even allow the defendant to remain free pending appeal

It all depends on so many factors and what the story is. An attorney would seem like a good idea at this time if your being charged with anything.

If the two cops are testifying for the prosecution, it is very, very unlikely that their stories won't match. The prosecutor prepares the witnesses, including the cops, and knows what they will say. The DA will not put on two witnesses that contradict each other.

If the two cops are called by two different sides - one by the DA, the other by the defense - and they tell two different stories, then the jury decides who is telling the truth. The jury might not believe either one of them. The defendant is convicted or not convicted depending on what the jury believes to be true.

Not sure what your options are because you haven't given enough details. Are you the defendant? Was there a trial already? If you have a lawyer, they should be able to answer your questions.
