UK internet shopping - Is there someone to complain to about items wrongly described ?

I bought an item from Marks and Spencer Online (well two different ones really) which was misdescribed.

When I complained they said I was in the wrong; hard luck!

This particular item cannot be returned in the usual way.

Is there anyone I can complain to?
