I was driving my girlfriends car last summer, the police were doing speed checks so they pulled me over i was a little over the speed limit so they told me off and sent me on my way, obviously the checked my documents on there system all was ok, a couple of weeks later i had a call from the officer telling me that there was insurance on the vehicle but not my name it was my girlfriends farther, ok i replied but knowing that i am fully comprehensive on my own car i gave my reg and apologised for the inconvenience few days later again i get a call from the same officer im not covered because im 24, i call my insurance company up agree this when i ask them why it is not on my certificate of insurance they say it is in the small print, so right down the vaery bottom of the certificate in small writing there it is, Now i have to go to court to ask for special reasons why i need to keep my licence and not have any points.
there are a number of reasons why i need my licence,
there are three of us from my local town myself my brother and a friend we all work for the same firm working on the motorways miles away from home so we stay away for weeks on end i am the only one who can drive if i loose my licence then all three of us will be out of work, does that class as special reasons?
i have started taking my class 2 lorry licence lessons and i have spent a lot of time and money on that as the firm who i am working for require me to start learning to drive a lorry.
i live out in the middle of nowhere in the outback of Wales 10 miles from the nearest town.
paying the fine is not a problem but could really do without the ban or pints to be honest?
any ideas?
