Uncomfortable with a religious coworker?

The computer guy has a picture of something he calls the FSM in his cube and he talks about Pirates when I bring it up. I ask him about it and he says it's a religion and he follows it, but that thing looks like a demon to me. What do I do about a coworker who worships demons? Should I tell the owner? I'm worried his Satanism might bring demons into the office, like that woman who had a statue of Buddha before we made her get rid of it.

What should I do? I don't want to be seen as some sort of fanatic but I also don't want to expose myself to Satan!

How can I get rid of this evil influence in the office without making my coworkers think I'm crazy?

OK, I know some people think I'm being paranoid about this tentacle thing he has at his desk but it's NOT a good thing and I don't care if people think it;s just a joke. It's a DEMON and is UNNATURAL and it's telling him pirates are good but pirates are thieves rapists and murderers.

And the Buddha statue was making people sick and bringing demons into the office until we got rid of it. Satan is real and he used eastern mysticism to attack us and hide his demons which is why we don;t let people bring hippie crystals in either.

Grow up. The picture is of the Flying Spaghetti Monster - he is no more a demon that your God. It is a joke on religion. It is not an evil influence, and his belief is no more crazy than yours. Mind your own business and do your job.

Look you are over reacting. You are in the great country of america and here, you can worship anything, as long as it doesn't cause harm to others. Just cause you don't like it isn't good enough. Let him be, just cause it looks wierd doesn't mean he is a demon worshiper. Have you tryed NOT BRINGING IT UP. then you don't have to hear about it. And pirates are not demons or santan. Live and let live...Unless he is forcing it on you or doing anything evil to you, it's really not your business. Exposing yourself to Satan is a ridiculous statement. You are not exposed to Satan because this guy has a picture that you think looks like a demon in his cubicle. Just mind your own, don't ask him about it, stay out of his cubicle and just do your work. If you are worried about your co-workers thinking you are crazy then obviously noone else is concerned about demons and Satan.
What kind of place do you work in anyway? Why is everyone so preoccupied with everyone else's religion. And how was a statue of Budda making everyone in your office sick? A little bit strange I think.

You are crazy, keep your nose out of other peoples religious habits. You didn't need to know what that picture was, but you chose to ask. You made someone get rid of a buddha statue because you thought bringing demons into the office? Do you ware a cross around your neck? Do you think that other people have any less right to their religions that you do? I'm glad I don't work with a lunatic like you.

I have a big Buddha statue in my living room, and I haven't gotten sick, ever. Maybe the devil just likes me, so he protects me from disease? Maybe it was just flue season and someone brought it into your office. Maybe it was a placebo effect induced on you by your own cult-like religious beliefs.

I would guess that your coworker brought the spaghetti monster picture into the office just to make fun of you and the way you reacted to the buddha.

by not being so paranoid. if a girl had a buddha statue up and she had to remove it, then that there gives you enough grounds to inform the owner and have him remove his from his office.

but seriously only as long as you don't have a cross in your office or anything to do with your religion, because that's religious discrimination. just because you don't agree with someone doesn't make you right.

i personally would try having respect for other people's beliefs, if he's not doing anything to harm you, then keep your nose out of his business.

if you believe in god, ask for forgiveness, and ask him to protect you from satan...if you would like you can also keep a religious sign by your desk, like a cross, or name of allah, etc...also definately talk to your boss...this is causing hostile work environment. if you boss doesnt do anything..he can be in deep trouble
