We all would, but is that the answer to it? We then become the killers of someones child. This child was killed by a number of different ways. Social Services left him down, the Government left it down but most of all society has left this child down. A good friend of mine was murdered 3 years ago by a guy who has serious intellectual issues and was not known to my friend. He had been released from prison in this condition because they could not look after him. We must take a stand against these people and try to ensure it does not happen again. We must put pressure on our governmental representatives to get up off their behinds and earn their money. The death penalty I feel is not the answer although your anger and hate are very much understandable. |

I'd not heard of Baby P till you mentioned him...it makes me want to cry & puke. How??? Why? I just don't get it, I honestly don't get it.
There must be punishment meted out to the social services here. Giving a child back to the mother when the mother is on bail for the child's assault? Sickening.
Edit: Tina Marie...look it up. It's a big world and the Internet brings it to your fingers. Broaden your world view. It's too important simply to glibly say 'I don't know who that is'. |

I have maintained for years that anyone who is found guilty of murder should be executed, Paedophiles should be castrated, and Yobs should be birched. Look what the "Do Gooders" have achieved. It is more economically viable to buy a length of rope than to keep a person in luxury for a life sentence & if proper penalties were imposed we would all be a lot better off.Bring back the old fashioned punishments & this includes the cane in our schools & it would go a long way to making Britain a better place for decent people to live in. |

Why would anyone do such awful things to a defenceless child? I am shocked, sickened and terribly saddened that the social services, once again, failed in their duty to a child at risk. What agonies that child suffered. It breaks my heart.

Agreed, and why have none of the social workers been sacked for their appalling failure.These people visited this family no less than 60 times, that in itself proves that they believed the child to be at serious risk.
Why oh why didn't they take the baby and place him with people who would care for and love him.
I'm a man and we men are supposed to be hard nosed about things but I'm not ashamed to say that there are tears in my eyes writing this.
God oh God! why do you create monsters like these??? |

I think we need to pull out all their fingernails and toenails, then wait a few days and go back a cut off the tips of their fingers, then wait a few days more and go in a gouge their eyes out, and wait a few days and so on and so on and so on. |

Events like this create a sense of shock, anger and despair.
Personally, I think that people like this should be sentenced to "animal research" where they would die a death of unspeakable horror. The primates and other animals that were to be used can then be released. |

Its terrible what they did but I don't think they should be killed for it.
I think they should be locked up for a VERY long time then they will have to live with what they did to that little baby. |

As awful as Baby P's death was, the death penalty is a pointless punishment - the crime has been done. The death sentence will only be vindictiveness. Punishment is supposed to be a deterrent, and death sentences do not deter.
They should, however, be locked away and the key melted down. |

those w*nk**s! how could some people use a baby as a punchbag. i read today they spinned him round on a office chair til he fell off! the stepdad punched him in the mouth and knocked his tooth out and the baby swallowed his own tooth. they are sick sick people!
these people need to be beaten everyday so they know how it feels

I have no judgement on these perpetrators. The death penalty for individuals is not the solution. It won't stop the next case from happening. And if that is not what it is all about ... society is more shallow than my mind will ever be able to comprehend:-( |

The murder of Baby Paul was such a despicable act - as decent human beings we cannot fathom what sort of creatures these killers are. And to think that his mother was involved as well and tried to cover the abuse up. They deserve death.
And I see that certain of the media are now pointing fingers at the social services and medical people implicating them in Paul's death. While they may have been somewhat remiss in not noticing what was going on, they were definitely not responsible for this callous act.
Death penalty gets my vote. |
