WILL - i am going travelling in 3 weeks and need to make a legal will - i ntend to use a DIY will pack?

it mentions that the people i choose to 'DEAL' with the will have to apply for a form before they can be granted authority to distribute the will to nearest and dearest - i have to executors in mind -which website should i apply or get them to apply for the will - i only have 3 weeks and i really would like to get it sorted before i go thanks. dan

Hire a lawyer. You can't fix a broken will with any degree of ease.

If you have enough assets to justify making a will you have enough to justify doing it right. You question indicates you don't have enough knowledge to do so. See a lawyer.

Fill in the blank wills , or 'boilerplate' wills are fine in most situations. As long as you have relatively limited assets, few direct heirs, then they are fairly similar from site to site.
Your executors need not apply for the will, you merely pay, and download. Or you can buy a preprinted fill in the blank will at Office Max or Staples. Just make sure you get your signature notarized.

My suggestion is to spend the money and have a simple will drawn up by an attorney that does that kind of work. After a will is created it has to be witnessed by two people who are NOT any relation to you and filed in the county or state that it was created. This is so that if something was to happen to you they would know where to look.
