I have to do a DBQ for my AP history class and this is the question. Im not looking for an answer so much as an explanation of the question and what its looking for. The title of the whole thing is U.S. v. Nixon 1974.

It was intended to KEEP the three branches in PERPETUAL conflict. Depending on what you mean by 'absolute executive privilege', both yes AND no are correct answers. Aside from the power to impeach, and the power to override a veto, Congress has ZERO authority over the President and the executive branch. On the other hand, The President is not authorized to do ANYTHING not authorized in Article 2 or one of the amendments.
