I am Pro Choice, but I don't think people should just go out and get abortions by any means.
I think if the government made abortion illegal, women would just find other ways, worse ways, to get rid of the fetus. Such as the whole clothes hanger theory, throwing it down a sewer, etc.
I look at it this way. Would you rather have a women safely go to a clinic and get an abortion before the fetus is actually born and before the 21 or whatever weeks when it ISN'T capable of living outside the uterus, therefore it not actually being living and not murder, or would you have a women go through with the pregnancy and murder the baby more brutally?
It's like alcohol, it's illegal for people under 21 but people still drink regardless of the law.
If abortion was illegal, women would still do it regardless of the law.

So personally, I don't think abortion is wrong and all women have rights and should have a choice.
Some women could be pregnant and if they have the baby, their life be at risk, so some need an abortion for their life.

I'm pro life. Life begins at conception. Listen to a baby's heartbeat in the uterus and you will be convinced.There is a life long guilt for the one who had an abortion that is hard to overcome. (Unfortunately, this is usually not discussed with the women ahead of time). God is the giver of life and we are here for a reason.

Abortion should be a private choice for anyone. I don't think abortion should be used as a type of birth control, as some women do, but in cases of rape, yes, abortion should be an option.

I believe that abortion is wrong. (When a baby is still in the womb)People say that the baby hasn't even formed yet, therefore is is not living, but that is not true. As soon as the egg is created that baby is a living creature. Abortion is killing the baby. If I were ever put into the position where I became pregnant, and I was unable to care for him/her, I would put the baby up for adoption to a family that would take good care of him/her. Some people will say, "What if the baby has a bad life?" Well, I say, "At least the baby gets to live and experience life!" Also, people wonder, "When is God going to send us someone who will find a cure for cancer or change the world for the better?" Well maybe he has. Maybe, just maybe, one of the babies that has already been killed, because of abortion, was someone who could change the world.

Others will try to argue that what if someone is raped? Ludwig van Beethoven was a rape baby! He was a musical prodigy! He was a crucial figure in the transitional period between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western classical music, and remains one of the most acclaimed and influential composers of all time!

Abortion, in my opinion, is wrong. And I have a very strong belief and feelings for the topic. I just wanted to share my opinion with everyone and I hope this might influence some of the "undecided" viewers. Thank you for reading! ;D

I'm for it. The human race is overpopulating the planet and we are on dangerous ground. China's 1 child rule is wise. Any woman that cannot handle a child would do better to have an abortion. The unborn child knows nothing of life and is inconsequential. Whatever love and guilt and pain you would associate with abortion is psychologically an important virtue as humans are predisposed to care for their offspring and continue giving birth -all species wish to prolong their survival. Unfortunately for us, it is counter intuitive, but we need to recognize that overpopulation is not our salvation but our impending doom. All of us should think about having fewer if any children. It will prolong the inevitable extinction of the human race. There's only so much food to go around. Only so much pollution our environment can take. Only so many wars before nukes start getting thrown about. Only so long until governments cannot control overcrowded ghettos which breed gangs and other phenomena of desperation. Abortion is the least of our worries. And a good solution for destitute mothers.

I think it is better to have the baby, but some people aren't ready to have a baby and birth control doesn't always work. I don't see how someone thinks they can tell a person they have to keep and raise a child they don't want or how they can subject a child to that type of an environment where their not really wanted.

i agree...i won't judge someone if they have one...but im not very happy about it if your perfectly capable of taking care of a child....if you were really young....or if you got like raped or something...then i understand...other then that im against it

My personal opinion would be 12weeks. No older, even that is a bit much. I'm pro-abortion. I am just expressing my personal opinion. Everyone has their own. You can't change the way someone feels by trying to scare them with your religious beliefs.

Although abortion is a woman's right, I believe that, if the mother doesn't want the responsibility, to put the baby up for adoption. There are many people out there wanting to be parents.

In the U.S. abortion is generally not allowed after the first trimester, unless there are issues threatening the life of the mother.

Abortion at any time is not a thing to be taken lightly; as a form of retroactive birth control, it is reprehensible, but the decision to terminate ultimately lies with the person carrying the fetus, not the public at large, and attempts to interfere with this right are yet more reprehensible.

I am pro-choice but i do not believe that the abortions should take place after 3 months. It is disgusting. That is also more than enough time for the girl to decide.

I think that it is the "mothers" choice to get an abortion or not. If she can not take care of the child than would you want a bad life for the child? No i do not think abortion is right but if NOt getting an abortion means a bad life for the child than i do think the parent should get one. 4-24 weeks in the US.

Its technically murdering someone, babies are a life too! Now, however some people can't have a child without severe complications. There, they may not want to continue with the birth. However, if they know ahead of time they shouldn't have kids, then why put yourself in that situation? I know it happens and some people don't mean to get into this situation, but even so. If they are pregnant under age then i say have the child! Put it up for adoption if your not able to raise he/she properly. EMPHASIS- i didn't say it. Babies are people too.
