I'm ethically opposed personally and made sure I was never in a position to have to consider a termination. However, I would not inflict my personal beliefs on others and understand what a difficult choice it must be for most women. I do agree with terminations in cases of rape or incest, or where the child's quality of life would be so poor it would be inhumane to allow the child to be born. There are unfortunately some women who use abortion as an alternative to contraception. There is no excuse for unwanted pregnancy where contraception is freely available. I wonder how many women would have late terminations if they knew the barbaric method of termination, the injection to supposedly kill the baby does not always work (it sometimes misses the heart completely) and the foetus which can feel pain, is dismembered before being removed in pieces. |

the moral issue of abortion will always be delicate but when making up your mind think of all the abandoned and abused little lives there are in this world. there are not enough social carers to save them something worse than termination at conception |

Well, 1st abortion is murder. It should not be federally funded. Tax payers should not have to pay for unwanted children. On the other hand, when a child is aborted, that is just one less unwanted person in this country. Laws make it almost impossible (middle class) to adopt these unfortunate little ones. Anyway, abortion should not federally funded and should be up to the individual (a private matter). IMO |

My issue with abortion is that the father does not get a choice. It is the woman's body, but it is also the baby's body and half of the DNA belongs to the man. What if he was willing to raise the child, she is getting rid of his choice and I do not think that is fair. It took two to tango, it should take two to make the choice. |

first off I'm completely against partial-birth abortions.
I have had 2 people close to me have to have an abortion. Both for completely different reasons. No matter what the reasons are, this is my body and I may never have an abortion but I can never be the one that dictates the life of another women. There are many different reasons why women believe they need to have an abortion but I think it's reasonable to put limits on at what term you can have one. But I believe that the government should have no control over my body. This speaks to the basic right to privace; if we give up one right what's to stop anyone from taking more of our rights. |

Its Murder... Its wrong and it is immoral..... Its not like the death penalty where it is punishment for a terrible crime, we are giving the death sentence to an unborn human being.... why should thet child be punished for their parents irresponsibility? the child should not and its just morally terrible the Doctors are more focused on money than morals!!!!! |

hi firstly IL say I'm a mother of 1 but i do agree with abortion and woman's rights to terminate ,but only if she is very early in the pregnancy,i do not agree in terminating when they are 4-5 months, this is a very delicate subject as you know and we all have different opinions, why should the mother not have the choice to terminate?what if she had been raped?,what if they said the baby would be severely deformed?etc etc, this is my opinion only and sorry if i offend anyone. |

For. The Greeks/Spartans did something similar 2,500 years ago when they examined babies. Those that were weak were thrown out in the road. I'm not saying I'm for throwing out a baby into the road but we've been doing this sort of practice for centuries. |

Abortion issues aren't black-and-white, but it NEEDS TO BE LEGAL. In "If These Walls Could Talk," the third segment is about an abortion clinic in the 90s. The doctor has to come to work in a bullet-proof vest because of all the crazy picketers. A patient asks the doctor why she carries on her business when so many people are strongly opposed to it. She replies that she remembers what it was like before abortion was legal. ...Maybe that's why Ms. Crawford so hated wire hangers, eh? |

I personally think abortion is wrong it should be outlawed everywhere. You go to jail for killing a person who might have did some pretty awful things in his life, but not for killing a baby who is innocent. CRAZY!!! |
