What age do you have to be to get your license?

Well i want to say its 16 but i kept hearing this thing about changing it to 18 but i dont know if it passed and if it did, then what year is it that they changed it to,

You have to check with your motor vehicle department in your state in California it is 16, but they keep talking about upping the age and giving limited driving to under 18. It will never happen here.

In the USA, It depends on the state. In most states it is 16, but it could also be 16 1/2 or 17. I usually depends on when you can get your permit (15 or 16) and how long you have your permit before you can get your license. I didn't get mine until I was 17.
