Ok.
In my past, I have been fired from a job before. I have always been told that on the application you do not have to say that you were fired and instead list other reasons which I have always done.
My job that I am trying to get says they know that I was fired and I didn't write it down. When I asked them what they were talking about they said they couldn't relase that information. They want me to write an letter about this termination. But I thought it was illegal for them to ask or know that info because all a job is supposed to clarify is dates you've worked and if you were a good worker!
Any suggestions?!

There is no restriction on an employer knowing that you were fired from a former job. |

It's not against the law for companies to release info about your work history. They usually don't do it out of fear of getting sued.
There are little ways a former employer can let a potential employer know you are bad news without saying much at all. |
