Animals should NEVER have more rights than humans, but at the same time, anyone who is cruel to animals should have more jail time. I know, it's weird.

Animals can feel pain and irratation and all the emotions we feel, and doing tests that people think aren't safe for people is cruel! It's cruel to the animals, causes pain and distress to them, and what is really annoying, is some people think that people should never undure any pain, but animals can die of chemicals, or be uthanized 2 spare them from otherwise dieng from pain!?!?!?!?! Plus it's not like we are very abundant on animals anymore! we're just killing animals until there almost exctinct!

I think animals should be treated equally.
I think hunting for fun/fur is wrong but for food its ok because its natural and a necessity. Maybe you could talk about animals in circuses and how they are abused. Or hunting.

In your argument you can state that since animals cannot speak, they cannot give consent/permission for testing. Therefore it's unethical because testing on humans requires their consent. I think that could be a strong argument :)

Animals have the right to grow fur I can use for clothing in winter. They have the right to be tasty after I grill them on the bar-b-q.

Animals that are tortured for no reason is wrong, testing to maybe save a human is fine.

I'm a member of WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals). I think there are a lot of issues about it that should be addressed. For instance; there's something called Bear Baiting that goes on in some countries and I actually cried when I first learned about it. There are some real cruel individuals out there and all good hearted people need to help these poor animals and give them a voice.

I don't think that they really have rights. They should only be tested on when a chance of pain is low. If it is obvious that it will cause pain, then that is cruelty and shouldn't be allowed

I think that animals shouldn't be tortured or abused. People who do that to animals are sick! But animals clearly don't have "rights" or meat and all animal products would be banned and using animals for labor would also be banned. That would go too far with the "rights."

But I agree that animal testing is often cruel and useless. Many cruel experiments had nothing to do with finding cures and those that did often did nothing to benefit people because animals and humans have a lot of differences along with some similarities! Drugs still get passed by the FDA that end up (knowingly) killing people! And the majority of the testing is done by companies wanting to sell poisonous, dangerous, and unnatural chemicals to us (the industrial waste products of industry) and they test animals to see what the tolerance level is! Gnenetically modified foods have shown to cause sterility, stunted growth, cancer, hyperactivity, and death in animals--yet the US still allows it to be used for human consumption and without any labeling!

In Georgia there was some teens that baked 2 puppies alive and now that is a felony....hurting or killing an animal begats a cerial criminal or killer....
...i love animals, and in my neighberhood I get mad to see dogs on chains with no water or food. We need to have more rights for them.

Why would you want to be tested on? Put yourself in the animals shoes and write down wat you would feel like. When you have enough
information put it into a report. <3

Animal testing is disgusting and cruel! I could type for hours about this but I'll just make it short: Is inserting a pipe in a kittens head with no anethetics humane? They do ridiculous tests like this just to see if the kitten will develope normally... WELL WHO WOULD DEVELOPE NORMALLY WITH A PIPE PERTRUDING FROM THEIR HEAD? And to do this to a defenseless baby animal in the name of science! Even tests that are for diseases and such do not have to be done on animals. There are many simulators and synthetics that are like the real thing but without the torture.

I agree with the previous, they deserve more rights than humans. I have sympathy for animals, I believe because of their inability to speak. Animals(even though we are animals too) should be treated with respect and not abused.
