The law would call him/her an accomplice. He/she would be charged with consipracy (and deemed a conspirator) and any other crime which arose from the escape (damage to property, injury to guards, etc.). In a practical sense, soon enough, they would be declared a suspect and, eventually, a fugitive.

If a person helps another to do anything that is wrong...that person becomes known as an accomplice! Then the accomplice becomes known as a felon if convicted for helping that person escape prison, then the accomplice becomes known as a prisoner because that person is going to serve time for helping that prisoner escape from authority.

if im not mistaken, the act of helping convicts escape is called aiding and abetting, so the person who commit that act is an 'aider and abetter'(i guess). the term sounds stupid, but the act is even more brainless.

I did not know that there was a legal way to help someone escape from prison. I know it is called, aiding a convict to escape. Harboring a fugitive would also be added as a charge. I call him or her a smart ****** ******! It's not an easy task. Although it's not so good when they get caught. No doubt, the helper will also be in prison sooner or later. I have something inside me that admires a person to help a convict escape. Not if the convict is a child molester. I hate child molesters/abusers/abusing old people. I hate them and want them to rot in prison
