Too much 'hearsay' taken as fact. Just picking out the bits they want to hear, and disregarding what they don't want to hear, to get a judgement summary and conclusion that can validate guilty or not guilty. |

This is going to sound weird ...
In my opinion, it isn't the system of justice..its the process of getting to the system of justice.
Its not about justice anymore...its about avoiding jamming up the system or process for justice to occur. example:
A man steals a car and wrecks it. A lawyer offers a plea to give the man who stole it probation to avoid putting a person in jail wheres its overcrowded. The judge, in the interest of the system which is overwhelmed with murderers, rapists, and such, accepts the plea and gives the guy probation.
The system does give benefits somewhat. It puts a person to work tracking probationers. it does relieve the overcrowding by one person....but does nothing for the man who had the car stolen. Justice wasn't done for the man who had been wronged.
Its not so much about justice for the victim anymore. That's whats wrong with it. |

Simple. People are not being properly punished for their crimes. Parole, easy bail, perks for going to prison... the list goes on. |

The fact that they try to make everyone plea guilty when they are innocent so lawyers don't take it to a fair trial (which is your god given right). They make people waive their rights by making them think that they are getting a certain deal when the judge can do whatever he/she wants.
The fact that you can get in trouble for an illegal conversation on the phone. You can't talk about harming others, not even if you are feeling emotional. People take it too seriously and will lock you up in a heartbeat in AZ. |
