What do you think of a teen who disrespect judges and cops to their face?

I think they are wrong. I got arrested and even though they were mean and bunch of cops sat in the room and made fun of my situation, which i had appologized for million times. They can be rude and mean sometimes but they do hold the key so you just have to listen to them and say yes maa'm, yes sir...
trust me it can be frustrating

I think he has been raised by terrible parents.
I think he is a spoiled brat who has never learned right from wrong.
I think he is in for some really, really hard times.
I think, in prison, he's going to have a reall, really BAD time......

I think this teen will either continue in the juvenile court system and on into adult court if they don't learn to respect authority.

Send him or her to boot camp, or Juvenal detention. Be harsh to this person now so that life will not be harsh to them when they grow up. The problem may be more of there parents not involving themselves enough in the child's life, get on these people to clean up there son or daughter and help solve the problem.

I think they need to grow up and also have a great deal to learn about life and clearly has no respect for anybody. I would send that kid to boot camp....more than likely their attitude would change after that experience.

I think that a lot of teenagers these days have a complete disrespect for authority. It's too bad that there parents weren't able to do a better job raising them.

I was one that did that but at about 12 or 13 years old. soon after i realized that it was immature and stupid to do things because of futre consequernces like having stuff on my record. soon afterwards i entered the JROTC then went through miliatry programs ( all on my own)
then i later joined the ARMY i am very happy that i did not continue my stupid ways or i might be in prison right now

I think they're likely to find themselves waking up with eyes swollen shut, and bleeding from the mouth in places they used to have teeth, and realize they just met the person they think they are now.

Well, all I can say behind every teen that is THAT disrespecting, lies a parent that wasn't there when they should have been, and probably didn't give a crap when they needed to. Part of talking back is normal for teens, but to not have enough common sense to shut up in front of a judge or cop is just ridiculous, and a sign of worse things to come.

I think they are disrespectful. I give respect to everyone until they prove they don't deserve it. That goes especially for my elders because I would be pissed if someone was rude to my grandma.

The kid obviously has a lot to learn. You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar!

It's a societal problem today the issue with indifference and disrespect...Began at his/her house with a mom and dad who didn't care enough to teach them the concept(s) of respect, responsiblity, and understanding/tolerance. Even "good" kids today have a belligerant aire about them...they think everything is coming to them or that they're somehow due everything they ask for. Life isn't that simple and doesn't work that way...My niece and nephew think I am to call them so I never hear from them. In my day that type of disrespect wasn't tolerated...I spoke with my uncles weekly to say hi and let them know what I was doing...Now it's who cares...Such is life I guess. PEACE & GOOD LUCK!

I think the parents should be taken to the town square and given a public slapping - for starters.

Then the disrespectful little brat should be placed in boot camp until he has an attitude adjustment.

i think the judge just added to the problem also . if an adult done that there would have been no hesitation to put them in jail for contempt of court .cops have people disrespecting them all the time they work around that,.
